An Andalé Example: 8 Air Cannon Setup

Andalé 8 Channel Firing box - click for larger image

A setup for 8 air cannons could follow this routine:

  1. A power source for the solenoids would be selected and wired into the Supply Plugs.
  2. Without charging the air cannons, the operator would wire each cannon into the Andalé.
  3. A timing sequence would be determined by the operator to fire which cannons at what time.
  4. The Andalé is programmed by holding the Set switch up from the default Run position to Set Delay and adjusting the Second and 1/100th Second knobs until the desired Delay Time for a channel is displayed in the top-left corner of the screen. To set any channel to the displayed Delay Time, push the Black Button for that channel. Repeat until all channels have their desired Delay Time.
  5. The On Time is set for each channel in a similar manner as Step 4, but the operator holds the Set switch down to Set On Time and adjusting the Second and 1/100th Second knobs. Press the appropriate Black Buttons to set the On Time for each channel. [Steps 4 and 5 are interchangable]
  6. The Andalé can now be ARMED and a test fire of the solenoids can be done by holding down the Firing Button.
  7. All firing will stop immediately if the operator releases the Firing Button. The Andalé will resume the sequence from where it left off if the operator holds the Firing Button again.
  8. Reset the unit at any time by pushing the Set switch in either direction - the Andalé will return to the start of the sequence.
